FAQ

Your Dental Questions, Answered.

How often should I visit the dentist?

It is generally recommended to visit the dentist every six months for routine check-ups and cleanings. However, depending on your oral health needs, your dentist may suggest more frequent visits.

If you have a toothache, it’s important to contact your dentist as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can rinse your mouth with warm salt water, take over-the-counter pain relievers, and avoid chewing on the affected side until you can be seen.

To maintain good oral hygiene, brush your teeth at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, and use mouthwash. Additionally, maintain a balanced diet and limit sugary snacks and beverages.

Common signs that you might need a filling include sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures, pain when chewing, visible holes or cracks in your teeth, or dark spots on the surface of a tooth.

To prevent gum disease, practice good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and using an antimicrobial mouthwash. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings are essential. It’s also important to avoid smoking, maintain a healthy diet, and manage conditions like diabetes, which can affect gum health.
